Artificial Intelligence is everywhere! Online AI writing tools are out there, and our students are using them. Have you heard of Grammarly? Reference managers? Paraphrasers? Summarizers? The question isn’t whether students are using these tools because many are already using the online writing tools. Instead, we might consider whether or not, when students use these tools, are they helpful in teaching students to become better writers? Are students cheating when they use the tools? How do we address the ethical use of these tools in our classrooms? Do these tools help us better communicate our ideas?
